How to draw shapes using the drawing layout

Just as you can draw shapes on the design Floor Plan, you can add any shape to a Drawing Layout.

The following figure provides an example of notes and lines and an ellipse added to annotate a Drawing Layout.

For instructions on adding text to the drawing layout, see Add a Floor Plan or Elevation note.

The Line Thickness command in the Drawing Layout ribbon allows you to specify the thickness of lines in the shapes that you draw. Complete the following steps to select a line thickness:

1. In the Drawing Layout ribbon, click Line Thickness.
   
   

2. In the Line Thickness dialog box, select the line thickness from the list and then click OK.
