Import a Trimble 3D Warehouse Sketchup™ model

NOTE: You need to sign into Trimble 3D Warehouse™ to download SketchUp™ models in Design.

Trimble 3D Warehouse™ lets you choose from a large online database of free SketchUp™ models to further enhance your designs. Also import 3D models into Design in several other recognized file formats. The Trimble 3D Warehouse™ browser is resizable. It can be minimized and maximized.

 

How to sign into the Trimble 3D Warehouse™

Before you sign in, please make sure you have the required credentials (your previously registered email address and password) to hand.

  1. In Design Live click the SketchUp icon on the ITEMS ribbon, this launches the Trimble 3D Warehouse™ browser.

  2. Click the icon located in the upper right side of the Trimble 3D Warehouse™ browser, and then click Sign In/Create Account.

  3. The Sign in window appears. If you are already a Trimble 3D Warehouse™ registered user, type your email address in the email address box.

  4. Click Next. In the Password box, type your password and click Sign In.

NOTE: Trimble 3D Warehouse™ is a separate website and Cyncly has no access to change or reset passwords. If you cannot remember your password, you can select the Forgot Password option, and an email will be sent to your email address allowing you to change your password.

 

Register to use Trimble 3D Warehouse™

If you are not yet a registered Trimble 3D Warehouse™ user, you can quickly and easily create an account:

  1. In Design Live click the SketchUp™ icon on the ITEMS ribbon.

  2. Click the icon located in the upper right side of the Trimble 3D Warehouse™ browser  DFx trimble sign in.png  and then click Sign In/Create Account.

  3. In the Sign In window click New User? Create a Trimble ID™ 
  4. Select your region click Next then enter your details.

  5. Once you have agreed to the terms and conditions, you will then receive an email with a verification code to enter in the Trimble 3D Warehouse™ browser. 

  6. Enter the verification code and setup your password.

 

Sign out and return to Design

  1. Click the drop-down arrow by the side of your name in the top right hand corner of the browser.

  2. Click Log Out.

  3. To close the Trimble 3D Warehouse™ browser window, click the X button located at the top right of the window.

Add an item from the Trimble 3D Warehouse™ browser

NOTE: You need to sign into Trimble 3D Warehouse™ to download models in Design.

  1. In Design Live click the SketchUp icon on the ITEMS ribbon.

  2. In the browser, sign into Trimble 3D Warehouse™ to download models to Design Live.

  3. Type an object name or model in the search box, and then press Enter on your keyboard.

  4. Click on the image to see more details about this item.

  5. To include the selected item in your design, click Download, and then choose the type of SketchUp™ file you need. 

  6. Select the units of measurement you wish to use.

  7. Click continue.

  8. Place the item in your floor plan.
