Display 3D shapes in floor plan and Display 3D shapes in elevation
The above two options displayed in preferences (File -> Preferences -> Work area) can be quickly accessed from the Work Area tool bar.
These buttons allow you to see items in 3D instead of 2D on the Floor Plan and Elevation areas. They are located in the Work Area toolbar (lower right part of Design).

enable Display 3D shapes in floor plan button
(button shows a dark orange background) to see items in 3D on the Floor plan.

disable the Display 3D shapes in floor plan button
(button shows a light orange background) to see items in 2D on the Floor plan.

enable Display 3D shapes in elevation button
(button shows a dark orange background) to see items in 3D on the Elevation plan.

(button shows a light orange background) to see items in 2D on the Elevation plan.
