The Spline command allows you to draw bezier curves based on control points. Control points (where you click) determine how the median will be calculated to draw the curve(s).
The system draws the curves of a spline based on the median of the last three points forming an angle, no matter how many control points you draw. The following figure shows the curves resulting from a five-control point spline.
If Ortho mode is enabled in the Work Area toolbar, the lines of the spline will move in 45-degree increments as you draw.
Complete the following steps to apply the Spline command:
-
In the Annotations ribbon, click Spline
-
In the Floor Plan or Elevation area, click the start of the first control point.
-
Move the pointer to draw the first section of the spline and click to set.
-
Draw the additional sections, clicking to set each section, and then right-click to set the final point. Alternatively, you can enter values in the X, Y, and Angle fields of the Placement box and press ENTER.
