From version 11 in Design
The following actions are possible when you right-click on a legend:
Move: Repositions a legend anywhere in the current floor plan or elevation view.
Rotate: Changes the angle of the legend (this could be useful when creating a drawing layout).
Columns: Lets you separate the legend into two or more columns.
Display Settings: Allows you to change the overall appearance of the legend.
Move or remove items in a legend
Note: To move items up or down in a legend hierarchy or to remove them from the legend, make sure Keep Numbering is selected in the Legend tab of the Display Settings dialog box.
To access the Legend dialog box, select the legend, right-click and click Edit.
Note: To enable the Keep Numbering check box, you need to clear the Use same item number in all views check box in the Legend section of the Preferences dialog box.
To access the Legend dialog box, select the Legend, right-click and click Edit.
In the Legend dialog box, select an item that you want to move in the list.
Click the Up or Down
button to move the item.
The button removes the selected item from the legend.
Click OK to close the Legend dialog box.
