There are two types of license keys for the Design software: a USB dongle or a Softkey. The type of key you receive will depend on how you intend to use the Design software.
Using a USB Dongle
When the USB dongle is connected, it does not require any credentials and automatically connects to the Design software.
Please note that USB keys are typically from clients with old contracts using perpetual licenses. This option is no longer available, as we now only offer subscriptions.
Another scenario where a customer might still use a USB key is if they are utilizing Catalog Tools. This module is used by catalog creators, but it is no longer offered to clients. Instead, Cyncly provides Content Services to create catalogs, which can be installed in the program or accessed via the Cloud Browser.
A USB license key starts with the letters KDCU followed by seven characters.

Log in with Softkey
To log in with a softkey, you will always be prompted for your email and password, as shown in the image below. If you are using a softkey, you must be a registered user on the Cloud.
A softkey license number starts with the letter K, followed by a mix of numbers and letters.
