To apply a discount or surcharge to the items added from the selected catalog, complete the following steps in the Catalog Charges tab of the Styles & Pricing dialog box:

| Type positive values for discounts and negative values for surcharges: |
| 40 % = 40 % discount |
| 40.00 = 40.00 amount, any currency |
| - 40 % = 40 % surcharge |
| - 40.00 = 40.00 amount, any currency |

Type a global number or specify percentages by category in the Percentage field and press ENTER.
OR

Type a global amount or specify amounts by category in the Fixed amount field and press ENTER.
Remember that you must specify a discount using a positive value in the Percentage or Fixed amount fields and you must specify a surcharge with a negative value.
