Artistic blur of the front or back of a photo with low depth field is generally used for the stylistic effects it produces and to put more emphasis on the subject.
This is sometimes called the Bokeh effect and it can bring the customer's attention to a particular point in the image.
On the presentation ribbon open the Perspective View and click on the Effects tab.
In the dialog box click on the Blur drop-down and using the sliders set the amount of Blur and the Focus Radius, then Pick Focus Point using the mouse cursor.
Note: If you maximise the dialog box below there is no drop-down and the options appear separately.
