Line menu editing options
Add Line
The add line command allows you to extend moldings, countertops, and backsplashes.
Complete the following steps to use the add line command:
- Point to a line, right-click, and select add line from the line menu.
- Move the line to a new location and click to set the position or enter values in the placement box and press enter.
Add Point
The add point command allows you to add a point along the axis of a line.
Complete the following steps to use the add point command:
- Point to a line, right-click, and select add point from the Line menu.
- Move the point to a new point along the axis of the line and click to set the position, or enter values in the placement box and press enter.
Extrude
The extrude command allows you to reshape surface or linear items, such as countertops or toe kicks, forming an indent or a projection.
Complete the following steps to use the extrude command:
- Point to a line, right-click, and select add extrude from the line menu.
- Click the line to display the point from which you will extrude.
- Move the point to the required location and click to begin the indentation.
- Move the point to assign the length and depth of the indentation and click to confirm. You can also enter your values in the placement box and press enter.
Mirror
The mirror command allows you to modify the symmetry of items. It saves time, especially when combined with other line menu options.
Complete the following steps to use the mirror command:
- Point to the line that you want to mirror, right-click, and select mirror from the line menu.
- Select the line that you want to add the mirror to.
Move
The move command allows you to move the line of linear or surface items, such as moldings or countertops.
Complete the following steps to use the move command:
- Point to the line that you want to move, right-click, and select move from the line menu.
- Select a reference line indicating the direction in which the original line will move.
- Move the pointer to the new location and click to set the new position, or enter values in the placement box and press enter.
Move and Intersect
The move and intersect command allows you to move and intersect lines.
Complete the following steps to use the move & intersect command:
- Point to a line, right-click, and select move & intersect from the line menu.
- Drag the line to change the intersection and click to set the new position and shape, or enter values in the placement box and press enter.
Radius End
The radius end command allows you to add curved ends to linear or surface items, such as soffits, countertops, and moldings.
Complete the following steps to use the radius end command:
- Point to a line, right-click, and select radius end from the line menu.
- Drag the line inside or outside the section to create the curve and click to set, or enter values in the placement box and press enter.
Rotate
Point near a line of a linear item or inside a section of a surface item, right-click, and select rotate from the Section Menu.
Complete the following steps to use the rotate command:
- Select the point to use as a rotation center.
- Rotate the section to new angle and click to set, or type the values in the placement box and press enter.
To rotate multiple sections at once, select the item and then double-click to display rotation handles. Select a rotation handle and turn the item to a new angle.
Rotate and Intersect
The rotate & intersect command allows you to change the angle of a line while maintaining the proportion of the shape.
Complete the following steps to use the rotate & intersect command:
- Point to a countertop line, right-click, and select rotate & intersect.
- Select the beginning or end point of the line to indicate the rotation center.
- Move the non-selected point and click when the angle is adequate.
Delete
The delete command allows you to delete a section of a linear or surface item.
- Point to an inside section of a surface item or near a line of a linear item, right-click, and select delete from the section menu.
