Remember that after modifying a countertop, a hatch pattern may appear indicating that you need to validate one of the countertop components. See Validate a Countertop for more information.
Complete the following steps to use the Extrude command:
-
Point to a countertop line, right-click, and select Extrude. (You may need to select the countertop's label first.)
-
Move the point where you want to begin the extrusion and click to begin the indentation.
-
Drag the point to assign the length and depth of the indentation and click to confirm. You can also view the values in the Placement box and press ENTER.
Change an extrude cut
The Countertop Wizard automatically creates the following types of cuts on shapes that have an extrusion (the default extrude cut type varies according to the countertop catalog):
-
Extrude
-
Double extrude
To change the extrude cut type, point to the cut line, right-click, and select the Change option from the Cut Line menu.
Note: You can delete an extrude cut but you cannot move it. If you delete an extrude cut, all sections next to this cut until the next corner cut or edge will have a crosshatched pattern, indicating an invalid slab. You must add a cut in order for the slab to be valid.
You can recreate a deleted extrude cut by pointing to the section, right-clicking, and selecting Automatic Cut.
