Import a Vertex XML file

If you own the Vertex program and you created a layout and saved it in .xml format, you can import the file into Design.  

Complete the following steps to import the .xml file:

1. In the FILE menu, click Import, From local storage.
   
   

2. In the Look in field of the Import dialog box, select the drive or folder that contains the file.
   
   

3. In the Files of Type field, select the Vertex XML type.
   
   
   
   

4. In the File name field, type the name of the Vertex XML file and then click the Open button. Alternatively, you can double-click the .xml file in the files and folders area.
   
   

5. In the Placement Zone(s) dialog box, select the placement zones for the walls, and then click OK.
