Import a Sketchup shape already saved on disk

Complete the following steps to import a SketchUp shape:

1. In the File tab, click Import and then choose From local storage.
   
   

2. In the Import dialog box, select the file .skp type, the file name and then click Open.
   
   

3. The Design Units dialog box displays the imported image dimensions and allows you to import using different types of measurements.
   Click Continue.
   
   
   
   

4. Click in the Design Floor Plan to add the item.
   
   

5. Move the item to the new location and click to set the item.
   
   

6. To retrieve the item, make sure to save the current .kit file or save the item to an idea library using the Local Browser.
