Performance
-
Use Texture, Color or Sketch in a Low or Medium Quality mode.
-
The fewer lights, the faster the render. We recommend a ceiling light only for best performances.
-
Set the texture quality option to Small, Medium or Large (Preferences dialog box, Rendering Performance).
In the Textures pane, select Small, Medium or Large from the Rendering list. -
Small: 128x128 maximum texture resolution
-
Medium: 256x256 maximum texture resolution
-
Large: 1024x1024 maximum texture resolution.
Performance/quality balance
-
Use Texture in Medium Quality mode.
-
To reduce "staircase" effect, use texture High Quality instead of Texture Medium Quality.
-
Use Auto light intensity in Redway 3d mode.

NOTE: If you want to get a more realistic and natural rendering, we suggest that you play with natural light and avoid using the artificial light sliders.

In Redway 3d mode, click Global Illumination.

In Redway 3d mode, use Refresh rendering on idle. It allows users editing their designs in 3D to refresh without performing an entire re-render. They can manipulate objects in rendering without the time restricted by a full re-render (however necessary in showcasing situtions). Therefore, it speeds up editing time in rendering considerably.
Basically, when the Refresh rendering on idle is checked off, there is:
limited lighting adjustments made
minimum shadow calculation
no change of the view angle

Adhere to the following rules:
Ø The room needs to be closed.
Ø Always assign a Floor and Ceiling texture.
Ø Add at least one window to your design (for sunlight effect).
Ø Carefully place sun for the best effect.
Ø Ambient light should not be greater than 1.
Lots of lighting is the secret of a must-see rendering; check this one out!
