Add a style-driven cabinet (mostly Europe)
If the Styles dialog box opens when you are trying to position a cabinet, the cabinet is part of a Global Style definition. Global Styles in Manufacturers’ catalogs can facilitate design creation because they contain a series of preset styles for cabinetry components.
Because no Global Style has been selected for your design, you must first choose a style and any component definition that you want for the selected cabinet.
Complete the following steps to select a style and component definitions for a cabinet:
-
In the list of Global Styles in the Styles dialog box, select the style that you want to assign to the cabinet.
-
Click Select.
-
The Style Information dialog box opens with a predetermined set of Style Types and Style Information (cabinetry components) displayed in their corresponding columns.
Style Type
Number (groupcode) assigned to a specific Style Type (e.g., 101, 206, 207).
Style Type Description
Description assigned to a specific Style Type (e.g., Front-colors, Sidefinish-colors, Handle-positions, Pulls).
Style Info
Alphanumeric code (usercode) assigned to a specific Style Info (e.g., K, 001, 070).
Style Info Description
Description assigned to a specific Style Info (e.g., Vanilla, Level, Veneer).
-
To use the cabinetry components as they are, click OK in the Style Information dialog box, and then click OK in the Styles dialog box.
For instructions on changing the components, see Change components for one cabinet.
