Description
In Design, lighting is generated automatically. The software adds light sources inside the room to illuminate cabinets, walls, and other objects.
However, when the room is small, there may not be enough space for the system to place lights in front of the cabinets, causing the cabinet fronts to appear dark or poorly illuminated.
This results in dark cabinet fronts, uneven lighting and shadows that make the rendering appear incorrect.
Resolution
There are three ways to resolve the situation:
Option 1: Increase the Room Size (Recommended)
Expand the walls of the room so there is enough space for Design to place the automatic lights.
Even a small increase in room depth or height is usually sufficient.
Option 2: Place the Entire Project Inside a Larger Closed Room
If resizing the original room is not possible, place the project inside a larger, fully enclosed room.
This guarantees that Design has the necessary space to generate lighting properly.
Option 3: Add Light Sources
Design also provides manual light fixtures that can be added to illuminate specific areas.
You can find them in:
ROOM_FUR > Lighting Fixtures > Light Source > LIGHT.OMNI
Simply place one or more light sources in front of the cabinets.
This will manually brighten the cabinet fronts and compensate for the lack of space for automatic lighting.
