Adding countertops and moldings is simple with Design Flex. You can follow the steps below to get comfortable with this feature:
- Draw a wall layout.
- Place your cabinets within the wall layout.
Navigate in the program to Items Tab > Countertops and trims.
- Use countertops and trims to add countertops and moldings (such as countertops, backsplashes, edges, bottom moldings, top moldings, soffits, and toekicks).
Select the moldings you'd like to add by checking the boxes on the left side of the window.
Choose the manufacturer's catalog for the project to ensure cabinets and moldings match.
- Pick the type of molding you want to add for each molding area.
Important: The selected molding and countertop parts will be placed on the cabinets throughout the kitchen project if they fit. For example, if you have a full kitchen with base cabinets and wall cabinets, the countertops and moldings will be automatically placed on all cabinets, as long as there is enough space in the design.
Note: All countertops and moldings can be resized using the edit shape tool. For countertops, we suggest using the ROOM_TOP catalog as shown above.
