Please execute the following steps:
-
In the Annotations toolbar, click Running Line.
-
On the Floor Plan, click to start drawing the running line (make sure to start on the left-hand side).
Note: If the running line is drawn from the right to the left, the molding will be designed upside down. -
Move the pointer to draw the first section of the line (you can also use the Placement box to enter the line coordinates).
-
Click to confirm the first section of the running line and continue drawing.
-
Right-click to end drawing the line.
-
To convert the running line into a molding, right click the running line and click Make 3D.
-
On the Trims window, double click the desired molding, select a molding and click the Place button.
-
Next, the molding position will need to be adjusted. This can be done by right clicking on the molding, click on Attributes and change the Up-Down value. It can also be adjusted in an elevation by holding the left mouse button and the CTRL key on your keyboard.
Note: Sometimes, the molding may show invalid pattern lines. This is because the molding exceeds the length specified in the catalog.
