Error #11016: This is not a valid print range

When attempting to print either a floorplan or elevation, the following error appears.

Error# 11016

This is not a valid print range. 

 

Most recurrent scenario that can cause this issue

This error occurs when space is introduced in front or after the name of the floorplan or elevation display tab. Follow the steps below to fix the error.

  1. Double click on the tab and remove the space in front of the name.

  2. Also, verify there are no spaces at the end of the name and press Enter.

Solution for other known scenarios


Open any design file (you will need to delete the elevations before saving), or simply start a new design and draw one wall.

  1. Select any of the floorplan tabs except the first (i.e., NKBA).

  2. Save the design file.

  3. Open the design file.
     
  4. Click File  Print Preview (or Print).

  5. Select the option Current Work Area(s).

  6. Click OK.

Workarounds

  • Click on any of the other floorplan tabs (you can go back to the original tab) before going to Print Preview or Print.

  • Before going to Print Preview or Print, add an elevation.

  • In the Print Preview (or Print) dialog, select All Accessed Views or Selection (then select the desired tabs to print).
