Occasionally when opening a design one of the following error messages may appear:
Error 11725 file is empty or corrupted.
Error 370 file is missing or corrupted.
At this point, the design file is corrupted and unusable. You can, however, retrieve the design contents from the backup file by executing the following steps:
Solution 1
- In Design, under the File tab select Open.
- Select the folder icon.
- In the browse window at the bottom choose the .BAK from the File Type drop-down menu.
- Locate the backup file with the same name as the corrupted design and select it.
- Click Open.
- If the backup file successfully opens, save your file under a new name to retrieve the contents of your design.
- If the backup file does not open and gives the same error message, the design is, unfortunately, irretrievable and must be restarted from the beginning.
Solution 2
Inserting the .BAK file on a new floor plan
- Click on File.
- Click on Insert Design File.
- In the browse window at the bottom choose the .BAK from the File Type drop-down menu.
- Locate the backup file with the same name as the corrupted design and select it.
- Click Open.
