The following topics explain the main Design tool that helps you select and place items.
To display the placement box, make sure the Placement button is selected (has a yellow background) in the VIEW ribbon.
The Placement box allows you to: quickly place, move or copy items that you have selected either from the Cloud Browser, Local Browser, the Items ribbon, or the Room Layout ribbon (you can do this in the Coords tab).
The Offset field allows you to enter the distance between the current and the next item to be placed.

Make sure the Placement button is selected in the View ribbon. The background of the Placement button is yellow when the button is active.
You can dock (pin) the Placement box to any side of the screen or leave it floating. See Dockable Components for instructions.
The Place tab and Placement tool are activated when you select an item on the Work area. The Placement tool simplifies the positioning of items and makes it easy to handle special placement situations that require special offsets.
The image in the center of the Placement tool represents the reference item. This item is the last one that you placed, but you can reset it to any item that you select in your drawing. Each new item that you place/move becomes the reference item for the next placement. The reference item is always highlighted on the Work area. The Offset field allows you to enter the distance between the current and the next item to be placed.
The Placement tool remains visible as long as you need it, and does not need to be closed to use other commands.
The center of the tool displays the selected item in plan view, surrounded by four position arrows that place or move an item 45 degrees to the left, right, up or down in relation to the selected item.
To move a selected item on the Work area, click the Move button in the Placement box. Use the Offset field to determine where the selected item will be moved to, and then click the position arrow.
To copy a selected item on the Work area, click the Copy button in the Placement box. Use the Offset field to determine where the selected item will be copied to, then click the position arrow. -
You can enter/edit values that determine the location of an item (Floor Plan or Elevation) that you have selected either from the Cloud Browser, Local Browser, the Items ribbon, or the Room Layout ribbon (you can do this in the Coords tab).
