Define a section name for a countertop

A section name is a description that you can assign to one or more countertops to produce Items by Section reports. When producing this type of report, countertops can be sorted by these section names.

Note: Unlike grouping items, assigning a name to a section does not physically group the items on the Work area; it simply assigns a name for report purposes.

Complete the following steps to define a section name for a countertop:

1. In the Floor Plan, point to the countertop and right-click, point to Surface Item, and select Section Name from the pop-up menu.
   
   

2. To assign an existing section name, select the name from the Section name list in the Set Section Name dialog box.

3. To add a new name, type the name in the Set Section Name dialog box.
   
   

4. Click OK.
