To access the Section Menu, point near a of the linear item or inside a surface item and right-click.
The Combine command allows you to join the sections of linear items, such as moldings. When combining linear item sections, the shape of the item remains unchanged; however, you can modify the item as a single entity.
Complete the following steps to use the Combine command to join sections of linear items:

Point to the linear item that you want to combine, right-click, and select Edit Shape.
In the following example, we will combine sections 1 and 2 of a top molding containing five sections. -
Point near a line of the linear item, right-click, and select Combine from the Section Menu.

Select an adjacent line to combine.
The Add Cut command allows you to add an angled cut of any degree to surface items, such as soffits.
Complete the following steps to use the Add Cut command to add an angled cut:

Point to the surface item that you want to modify, right-click, and select Edit Shape.

Point to the inside of the item, right-click, and select Add Cut from the Section Menu.

Select a start point.

Select an end point to draw the cut line
OR
select a line that is parallel to or intersects with a second line, and then select a second line that is parallel to or intersects with the first line.
