Use the Coords tab to display or enter values for the location of items that you draw or place on the Floor Plan or Elevation area. Entering the exact values in the Coords tab fields, such as wall length or item position, provides more precision than merely dragging and dropping items
Values appear in feet/inches (1'2"), inches only (14"), or millimeters (55mm), depending on the selection made in the Work Area tab of the Display Settings.
When entering a measure with inches only, there is no need to enter the inch symbol ("). For example, if you type 5.5 and press TAB, you will see 5 1/2". To enter feet and inches, you must specify the foot (') and inch (") symbols. For example, you can type in 12' 6".
When you type fractions, use the decimal (57.5) or fractional (57 ½) format.
Note: Press the following keys to move through the fields of the Coords tab:
TAB moves to the next field
SHIFT+TAB moves to the previous field
ENTER accepts the values entered
ESC cancels the values entered
When you place an item on a placement zone or in free mode, you can assign a default input mode. For more information about this feature, click here.
