Cut copy or paste items

You can cut and paste items  

• on the same design,

• from one design to another, and

• from the Elevation or Floor Plan area to the Item List or vice versa.

Cut

1. Select the item and then do one of the following:

   • Right-click and select Cut.

   • Click Cut in the Home ribbon.
     
      

   • Press CTRL+X.

Copy

1. In the HOME ribbon, click Copy 
   Alternatively, you can point to the item that you want to copy, right-click, and select Copy.

Paste

Point anywhere in the Work area and do one of the following:

1. Right-click and select Paste.
   OR
2. Click Paste in the Home ribbon.
   
   OR
   
    
3. Press CTRL+V.
   
    
4. If necessary, click in the Floor Plan area to set the position.
   
   Note: If the item is placed in the placement zone of a wall/construction line, it becomes attached to this wall/construction line.

Important: Notes or items can only be placed on item lists or floor plans; elevations do not support direct placement by copy & paste or moving objects.
