Mirror a floor plan – Design

Design allows you to create a mirror image of your floor plan or elevation area with either cloud configurable or file-based manufacturer's catalogs.

This can be useful when creating different designs for face-to-face apartments, rooms, or interior space that must have the same dimensions.

Mirror (flip) a floor plan horizontally

Complete the following steps to mirror a floor plan horizontally:

Open the design you want to mirror.
Highlight the whole design by creating a lasso around it. To do so, click, hold down the mouse button and drag diagonally down and to the right until the floor plan is enclosed with the black border box.
Release (do not click) the mouse button when finished. The entire floor plan is selected (see below).
Now, point within the design, right-click, and select Mirror Items if the current design contains items from the Local browser and Cloud.
If you want to have your floor plan mirrored horizontally, click and hold down the mouse button where you want to start drawing the horizontal line (for example, at the top left of the floor plan.
While holding down the button, drag the pointer horizontally (from left to right) to where you want the line to end.
Click and release the mouse button when finished. Illustration of the line outlined in red (see below).
When the message Do you want to delete the original items? appears, click Yes if you want to remove the original layout, or click No to keep it.

Complete the following steps to mirror a floor plan vertically:

Open the design you want to mirror.
Highlight the whole design by creating a lasso around it. To do so, click, hold down the mouse button and drag diagonally down and to the right until the floor plan is enclosed with the black border box.
Release (do not click) the mouse button when finished. The entire floor plan is selected (see below).
Now, point within the design, right-click, and select Mirror Items if the current design contains items from the Local browser and Cloud.
If you want to have your floor plan mirrored vertically, click and hold down the mouse button where you want to start drawing the vertical line (for example, at the top right of the floor plan).
While holding down the button, drag the pointer vertically (from top to bottom) to where you want the line to end.
Click and release the mouse button when finished. Illustration of the line outlined in red (see below).
When the message Do you want to delete the original items? appears, click Yes if you want to remove the original layout, or click No to keep it.
