The base point of a group is the anchor point that the program uses for commands, such as Move and Rotate. The base point of a group depends on the configuration of the objects in the group. Consider the following example.
In the following figure, the base point is located in the upper-left corner of the left-most item in the group.
Complete the following steps to change the base point of an item group:

Point to any item in the group and right-click, point to Items Group # or the assigned group name, and select Set Base Point from the pop-up menu.

Select the new point for the group. In the following figure, the new point is in the lower-right corner.
Now when you select a command for the group, such as Move, the pointer is located at the new point. In the following figure, the pointer is located in the lower-right corner of the group.
