Released on 11.02.2026
Design Flex 14.11 introduces a more flexible elevation workspace, faster saving and updating, improved Cloud Item recovery, clearer reports, and several rendering and printing fixes. This release also includes new Cloud Catalogs and Decorative item improvements.
Undock and work with elevations on a second monitor
You can now undock the Elevation window from the main Design Flex application and move it to another monitor. This provides more space for the floor plan and other tools while you work on detailed elevation views.
Elevations also automatically fit within the window, reducing the need to adjust the zoom level. For more information on this click here.
Consistent report grouping for all catalog types
Feature and option header grouping is now supported for Cloud Catalog items. This creates clearer, more consistent reports with fewer unnecessary groups and exceptions.
The improvement applies to:
- Quote
- Cost/Sell
- Item List
- Cabinet List
- Order Form
- Cut Door List
- Contract List
Faster kit-file saving
Design Flex now saves kit files more efficiently. Benchmark testing showed that saves were approximately 60% faster on average, helping to reduce interruptions while you design.
Faster Design Flex updates
The new core update package contains the application components required for version upgrades. This reduces the download size and installation time while retaining your existing preferences and catalogs.
The updated process provides:
- Faster downloads and installations
- A smaller update package
- Retention of existing preferences
- Fewer installation prompts
- A simpler upgrade experience
- Easier rollout of future Design Flex updates
Improved Cloud item recovery
Cloud Items that have not loaded completely are identified by magenta hatching. The expanded Repair Item option can recover missing information, reducing the need to delete and replace affected items.
Right-click an affected item, or right-click within the floor plan or elevation, to repair all affected Cloud Items.
Updated drawing layout dialogs
The dialogs used to load Drawing Layout templates, save user templates, and load images have been modernized. The updated dialogs are easier to navigate while retaining the existing tools and workflows.
Rendering engine modernisation
Design Flex is continuing its transition to the Cycles rendering platform by retiring components of the legacy Redway rendering engine. This work supports newer graphics hardware, including NVIDIA Blackwell-based graphics cards, and provides a foundation for further rendering enhancements planned for 2027.

- Improved performance when importing complex SketchUp models with 3D Shapes enabled.
Flex Cloud
Keep 3D previews available after lead conversion
When converting a lead into a project and choosing to import the lead design, the associated design file is now automatically linked to the newly created project.
This improvement ensures that:
- 3D Preview is available immediately after lead conversion.
- Design visualisations are preserved when moving from a lead to a project.
- Users can continue reviewing the design in 3D without waiting for a new design file to be generated.
- Design updates continue to be reflected in 3D Preview as new design files are generated and associated with the design.
Capture and track project budgets from lead to design
Budget information can now be captured on leads and automatically carried into projects, helping you work within customer budget expectations and reducing rework. This gives you and the team greater confidence that designs and quotations reflect your customers’ budget requirements from the start, helping to deliver a smoother sales journey and a more consistent customer experience.
Improved performance for projects with many designs
The Designs tab now supports pagination in both List and Grid views, improving performance and responsiveness for projects containing large numbers of designs. New search and Design Status filters also make it easier to find and manage designs within a project. Users can choose to display 10, 20, or 30 designs per page.
Reduce manual data entry with project type-based default terms
Configure default system-defined terms for each project type and automatically populate them when creating a project. This helps reduce repetitive data entry, improve consistency, and minimise errors.
Default values can be configured at company, shop, or user level. When multiple configurations exist, user settings take priority, followed by shop and then company settings. Supported terms include delivery time, delivery terms, transport terms, payment terms, and dealer project terms.
Custom numbering for Leads
You can now create custom numbering rules for leads to support your business processes and reporting requirements. Lead numbers are assigned automatically when new leads are created and can be configured to include elements such as the year, shop number, and a sequential identifier. You can also search for and sort leads by lead number in the Leads list. For more information on how to create custom numbering click here.
Lead management improvements
The Leads page now includes an Assign To filter and a Last Updated column to help users manage and track leads more efficiently. You can quickly identify lead ownership, find unassigned leads, and track recently updated records.
- Filter leads by one or more assigned users.
- View unassigned leads.
- View the date and time a lead was last updated.
