There are three render engines available to you within Design Flex:
Note: The CPU manages the program’s primary tasks and overall operations, while the GPU accelerates rendering, visual processing, and parallel calculations to improve performance and responsiveness.
-
Cycles
From version 14.8 our latest render engine uses GPU (when available) and CPU, for more information see article What is the Cycles render engine?. This enables you to get really nice results with relatively low effort.
-
EZ Render
Uses CPU only and automatically applies and calibrates lighting and true material finishes, for more information see article What is the EZ render engine? Easy to use and gives relatively good renders.
-
Redway3d
Our original render engine which uses CPU and GPU (when available). If you are willing to spend some time on lighting which is really important with Redway3d then it produces very good renders.
For information on choosing your preferred render engine, please refer to the article on Rendering Preferences.
