If you export files in AutoCAD format (.dwg or .dxf), you can assign layer names to Cyncly component categories.
Once renamed, layer names can be included before the 3D/2D shape in AutoCAD.
Complete the following steps to define the Export to AutoCAD preferences:
- To rename some of the categories, in the FILE menu, select Preferences.
- In the Preferences dialog box, select the Export to AutoCAD pane.
- In the Categories pane, expand the overall category (General, Residential, or Commercial), and the component level that you want to assign a layer name to.
- Select the category that you want to assign a layer name to.
- In the AutoCAD layer name field, type the new layer name.
- Select the Add 2D/3D prefix on the layer name checkbox if you want to add the assigned layer name to the exported 2D and 3D shapes in AutoCAD.
