This pane contains preferences for the Design Assistants feature.
To choose your Assistants preferences, in FILE menu, select Preferences. In the Preferences dialog box, select the Global Assistants Settings pane.
Note: The settings that you define in this section will be valid the next time you open an existing design or create a new one.

Enable the Silent Mode |
In the Assistants pane, select the Silent Mode check box. This prevents the Assistants from appearing during design creation. Instead, a light bulb appears at the bottom-right of the interface to indicate that the assistants are running in the background only. For more details, see Silent mode in the NKBA Help file. Select the Popup Mode check box to briefly display a pop-up box above the bottom-right portion of the task bar to inform you of design conflicts with the current guidelines. For details on the Popup mode, see Silent mode in the NKBA Help file. |

Show conflicting items |
Select the Show conflicting items check box to display a hatch pattern on conflicting items placed on the Floor Plan and Elevation areas. |

Activate an Assistants module (NKBA rules, Auto-Deco, or others) |
Clearing all Assistants modules is your best option. |
