Please follow the below process to know how to set up Export to AutoCad.
You can export Design files to AutoCAD format.
Complete the following steps to export the current design in .dwg or .dxf AutoCAD format with all 2D or 3D shapes:
- In the FILE menu, point to Export and select Other Formats.
- In the Export dialog box, choose AutoCAD DWG File (*.dwg) or AutoCAD DXF File (*.dxf) from the Save As type list.
- Enter a name in the File Name field and click Save.
- In the Shape Selection dialog box, select the option to export Floor Plan shapes (2D), 3D shapes, or All shapes. You can also select a quality level (Draft, Normal, Best) from the Shape quality list for the shapes to be exported.
- Click OK to export the file.
The layer names for components exported to AutoCAD are based on the layer names specified in the Export to AutoCAD preference.
To access the AutoCAD layer name settings, in the FILE menu, select Preferences. In the Preferences dialog box, select the Export to AutoCAD pane.
To add the AutoCAD layer name, you will have to select as per the desired category under the Categories option.
Once you saved the AutoCAD layer name, you will have to save the current design in .dwg or .dxf AutoCAD format with all 2D or 3D shapes.
