Add a wall cutout
Complete the following steps to add a wall cutout:
- In the ROOM LAYOUT ribbon, click Openings and Obstacles.
- In the Openings & Obstacles dialog box, double-click Wall Cutouts (Pass-through).
- Select a cut-out size or model and click Place.
- Click in the placement zone of the wall requiring a cutout.
- In the Attributes dialog box, enter the Height and Up-down value (distance from the floor), when applicable, and then click OK to close the dialog box.
- Click in the targeted wall placement zone. Because a wall cutout has no predefined width, a small outline appears to indicate the starting point of the cutout width (left or right side).
- Use the Placement box as a guide and click to set the starting point.
- If you want to place this cutout, move the pointer to the required width and click to set, or enter the width in the Placement box and press ENTER.
Note: If you no longer want to place this cutout, press the ESC key.
- If necessary, use the history of selection area in the Openings & Obstacles dialog box (where appears) to make another selection, or click Close to close the dialog box.
