When you draw at least two walls, this field allows you to specify the distance (length) from the beginning of the preceding wall to the end of the wall you are drawing, thereby calculating the angle between the walls.
To enter the proper Triangle values, you must first measure the length of each wall, then the distance from the beginning of each wall to the end of the next one.
Length of wall #1 = 100"
Length of wall #2 = 100"
Length between wall #1 and wall #2 = 184 ¾" (Triangle value)
Complete the following steps to determine the angle between two walls:
-
In the Room Layout ribbon, click Continuous
-
Click in the bottom-left of the Floor Plan.
-
Move the pointer toward the top of the Floor Plan and look at the Placement box.
Important! Use this box to enter all of your wall dimensions. Do not use your mouse while entering dimensions in the Placement box. If you do, it will cancel the values that you enter manually. -
Type 100 in the Length field and press the ENTER key.
-
Type 100 in the Length field again.
-
Press the TAB key twice.
-
Type 184.75 in the Triangle field and press the ENTER key.
-
Press the ESC key to stop adding walls. The program displays the wall angle (135 degrees).
