Display settings schemes and how to change them

To access the Display Tabs Schemes settings, in the File menu, select Preferences. In the Preferences dialog box, select the Display Tabs Schemes pane.

Define measurement options in the Unit section of the Display Tabs Schemes pane.

Do the following...

Select the system of measurement you want to work with

Select Imperial - Inches only, Imperial - feet/inches, or Metric - millimeters.
Changing the unit type affects all other measurement units in Preferences.

Display/hide decimal values when the measurement system is in Metric - millimeters (if you hide decimals, numbers will be rounded to the nearest digit)

Select Round millimeter values with decimals.

 

The Floor Plan area offers the following predefined display tabs that contain specific display settings:



The default Elevation area display tab is El1 (see example below).

Complete the following steps to change the display scheme of one or more of these predefined display tabs:

  1. In the FILE menu, select Preferences.

  2. In the Preferences dialog box, select the Display Tabs Schemes pane.

  3. Use the lists in the Display Tab section to select the following scheme(s):

    Floor Plan
    Elevation area
    Side Elevation
    Drawing Layout

If you create several Drawing Layout tabs with different Display Settings, you can save them as schemes and select any of them by default for all new designs.
