Several possibilities exist for dimensions in Floor Plan or Elevation view, depending on the type of item you are editing. For example, when an item is attached to a wall, the following dimensions (and others) are available in Floor Plan view:

Left and Right: the dimension to the left and to the right of the item on the wall.

In/Out: the dimension between the wall and the item if you pulled the item away from the wall.
The following dimensions are available in Elevation view:

Left and Right: the distance to the left and to the right of the item on the wall.

Distance top and Distance bottom: the distance above and below the item.
