You can display the following items in an Elevation area:
-
One or more walls (when several walls are displayed in elevation, the wall you are working on is highlighted with a green outline)
-
A specific region, for example, to view an island.
-
One or two items from the side (left or right).
A wall elevation allows you work on a specific wall or construction line to stack cabinets, create a pass-through, and raise or lower items.
You can also view a specific region, such as an island, in elevation and work on it as well.
A Side Elevation allows you to see a base and a wall or a tall mounted item from the side (left or right), with editing commands available.
An Elevation area is not displayed when you first access Design; you can add it once you have drawn walls/construction lines and/or added items to your design.
Complete the following steps to add an Elevation area:
-
Select the placement zone(s). If you need a one-wall elevation, double-click in the dotted line space of the wall.
-
Click Add Elevation in the Room Layout ribbon.
The following figure provides an example of the Work area with both a Floor Plan and Elevation area.
