The area where you draw walls or construction lines (invisible walls) is called the Floor Plan area. This area is displayed immediately when you first access Design.
The following figure provides an example of the Floor Plan area in the Work area.
When you draw walls or construction lines, remember the following:
-
You can draw walls or construction lines in a clockwise or counter clockwise sequence.
-
If you are drawing walls in 90-degree angle increments and in a clockwise sequence, the start position of the first wall uses an invisible quadrant to determine the direction of the first wall. You do not, therefore, have to change its angle.
-
Walls/construction lines have a placement zone; items placed on this zone become attached to the corresponding wall/construction line.
You can scroll through the Floor Plan area using the standard Windows scroll bars and scroll buttons located under and to the right of the Floor Plan area. You can also rotate the wheel button to zoom in/out, or press and hold the wheel button to scroll through the Floor Plan area.
See Configuring the Floor Plan/Elevation Area for details on setting up the Floor Plan area.
