The options available in the Material tab are the same whether you work on a Wall Group, a Wall, or a Section of a wall. In this tab, you can assign a construction type and a finish for the inside and outside of your walls.

In the left pane of the Wall Properties dialog box, select the Wall Group, the Wall or the Section you want to work on.
To apply changes to specific wall groups, walls, or sections, use the CTRL key to make your selections.

Change the Construction Type for the inside and outside of your selection |
In the Construction Type pane, select the Use inside type for both sides check box and choose the type from the Inside list. |
Use a different Construction Type for the Outside |
In the Construction Type pane, clear the Use inside type for both sides check box and choose a different type from the Outside list. |
Change the Finish for the inside and outside of your selection |
In the Finish pane, select the Use inside finish for both sides check box; click the Open button beside Inside and follow the instructions in Use the Textures dialog box. |
Use a different finish for the Outside |
In the Finish pane, clear the Use inside finish for both sides check box; click the Open button beside Outside and then follow the instructions in Use the Textures dialog box. |

To apply your changes without closing the Wall Properties dialog box, click Apply.
To apply your changes and close the Wall Properties dialog box, click OK.
To reset the values to the same values as one level up (wall or group), click Reset.
To ignore your modifications, click Cancel.
