If you usually place the same window model on your design, this feature is a time-saver because it allows you to place a preselected window.
Before you start placing basic windows, you must set the basic window in the Walls/Construction Lines section of the Preferences dialog box; otherwise, the Basic Window command will be deactivated.
Complete the following steps to place a basic window:
-
In the ROOM LAYOUT ribbon, click Basic Window.
-
Click in the placement zone of the wall or construction line where you want to place the window.
-
In the Attributes dialog box, type the Height of the window and click OK.
-
Click to set the initial position of the window.
-
If the default window width is not set in the Preferences dialog box, move the pointer to the left or right and click to set the width.
Note! If the default window width is greater than 0 in the Preferences dialog box, this step is omitted. -
Use the arrow displayed on the Floor Plan to indicate the interior side of the window and click to set.
