Complete the following steps to save a design under a different name and/or to update the preview image of a design:
-
In the FILE menu, click Save As and click Save As in the right pane. The Save As dialog box opens.
-
In the Save in field, select the disk/folder where you want to save the file. By default, the program saves the file to the default design files path assigned in Preferences.
In the list of folders and files, point to the folder where you want to save this design and double-click.
In the File name field, type the name of the file to be saved.
Select the Show Preview check box if you want to automatically save a preview image of the current design. -
In the All list located below Show Preview, select one of the eight available Floor Plan tab views, an Elevation area (El), or an existing saved view.
When a Floor Plan or Elevation tab is selected, the current view point and zoom ratio of the design is used for the preview image. It is recommended that you zoom to the region of the design that you want to save as a preview before beginning the Save As process.
If a Floor Plan or Elevation view is selected, select the view mode from the Work Area list. -
Click Save.
Notes: You can also overwrite an existing file by selecting the file name and double-clicking. The preview image is not saved or updated if you use the standard Save (CTRL+S) command. This prevents the preview image from being overwritten accidentally.
