Checklist of actions required to migrate to v. 14 onwards

If you are using file-based catalogs and you are planning to upgrade to a new Design Live version 14 onwards, you do not need to install all your catalogs again from scratch.

The Design Data Migrator will allow you to move or copy the catalogs into your new version, click here to download it. Open the .exe file and follow the steps below to accomplish the migration:
 

1. Click on Edit Source to select the location of the catalogs. (C:\ProgramData\2020\Design\13\Cat\Common)
   
   

2. Make sure the file path to your Destination catalogs is correct. (C:\ProgramData\Cyncly\Design\14\Cat\Common)
   
   

3. Choose either Copy or Move.
   
   

4. Click Migrate Catalogs.
    
   

Note: Once the catalogs have been migrated, a very important process will take place: Update Catalog Data Base. This process will verify the integrity of the database to make sure all the catalog components were successfully migrated.  This process will include the automatic transfer of rates.

If you've previously crafted any Drawing Layout templates, to migrate them to the new Version 14, you'll need to copy the custom material folder from the file path:

(C:\ProgramData\2020\Design\13\Clipart\Drawing Layout Template) to

(C:\ProgramData\Cyncly\Design\14\Clipart\Drawing Layout Template).
